Bellingham and Stanley Ltd
Excellence in Refractometry and Polarimetry
Bellingham + Stanley has been manufacturing Refractometers and Polarimeters in the UK since 1914 and are to this day considered by many internationally recognised brands as a leading supplier in the field of quality control instrumentation supply.
Covering a diverse application scope within the sugar, food, beverage, pharmaceutical and chemical manufacturing processes; Bellingham + Stanley instrumentation is exported to all corners of the Globe via an extensive network of fully trained distributors or directly from one of its offices in the United States or Europe.
A complete choice of refractometers is available for field, laboratory or factory use. The popular RFM700 series of bench mounted refractometers offer high accuracy readings and simplicity of use to non-skilled operators performing routine tasks at factory level, whilst the industry leading Peltier temperature controlled RFM300+ series refractometers provide ultimate measurement performance in both factory and quality assurance environments. A range of optical and digital polarimeters compliments the refractometers by adopting common physical and operational properties providing familiarity in side-by-side use within the sugar, food, chemical and pharmaceutical industries.
In 2010, B+S Process Instruments, a division of Bellingham + Stanley, launched the in-tek IR Series of solid-state-of-the-art infrared sensors providing beverage producers with high accuracy concentration measurements of sugar, carbon dioxide, organic acid and alcohol content in real-time and on line. Process refractometers are also available.
Bellingham + Stanley, UKAS accredited calibration laboratory No. 0834, also offer a complete range of Certified Reference Materials traceable to ICUMSA and NIST or PTB for the purpose of verifying the performance of commonly used refractometers and polarimeters.
