This month we see the release of a further development carried out by Forac on the F series valve actuator, which as a stand-alone unit can now encompass a number of items to aid the control of valves.

Size and weight have a direct bearing on any products material costs, an important feature in the current competitive market. The F series actuator was already the smallest for its power in the world and with the F series plus it becomes the most compact control unit of its type available today.

The picture shows the actuator equipped with a printed circuit board carrying two micro- switches for 12 to 24 volt operation. Wiring is through a conduit entry gland to a terminal block and passing the switch-operating shaft through the stainless steel cover provides visual indication.

Further versions are available, one with proximity sensors and another with As-I networking capability, both approximately within the same overall envelope.
