Neils Due Jensen was just 2 years old in 1945 when his father Poul established the Grundfos company in the basement of their home in the small town of Bjerringbro, in Denmark. Since then Grundfos has always played an enormous part in his life, in fact you could say it is now part of his DNA.

Global safety, health and sensor technology company
- £100m earmarked for acquisitions -
Halma p.l.c. (www.halma.com), the leading global safety, health and sensor technology group, has announced record results with profits up 9% to £86m and revenue rising by 1% to £459m. The UK-based group - which includes photonics companies Ocean Optics, Ocean Thin Films, Labsphere and Fiberguide - has posted strong financials to raise shareholder dividends by 7%, the thirty-first consecutive year of increases greater than 5%. The company plans to augment its organic growth efforts through acquisition of complementary technology companies, as it has done for many years.

Espelkamp based enterprise wins court case
Patent infringements and plagiarism represent major problems in China, especially for the manufacturers of brand products. The HARTING Technology Group has taken resolute action against a Chinese company that had copied its connectors. Following in-depth investigations, the Espelkamp headquartered company took recourse to the Shanghai Second Intermediate Court and initiated legal proceedings for damage and injunction in connection with patent infringements. After proceedings of only four months the Shanghai court passed a judgment confirming the patent infringement and sentencing the respective manufacturer to discontinue the production and sales of the counterfeit products, as well as imposing the payment of damages.
