Following significant increase in demand for PROFIBUS products due to its overwhelming success with over 30 million nodes now installed worldwide, the The PROFIBUS Competence Centre at MMU has introduced a one-day course for product manufacturers and engineering companies that want to jump on the bandwagon and develop PROFIBUS products. This one-day course provides an overview of the technology plus details of the communication protocol, tools and methods to get you started correctly on development of your own PROFIBUS products. It covers in detail:

The development cycle
DP-V0, DP-V1, DP-V2
Understanding and creation of GSD files
The certification process
Understanding telegrams
Asics
Development Tools

Scheduled for 20th October, the first of these courses will be presented in collaboration with ProfiChip, a leading provider of semiconductor solutions for industrial control and communication.
