Plans for Southern Manufacturing & Electronics 2013 are moving into overdrive as the organisers report another year of substantial growth. Returning to FIVE, Farnborough, on February 13th and 14th 2013, the show will feature more big-name exhibitors, a larger floor area and even more to see.

Exhibitor registrations for 2013 are up 30% compared with the same period last year, with the total number of confirmed exhibitors already exceeding the final total for 2012. To accommodate them, the organisers, European Trade & Exhibition Services (ETES) have added a further 35% to the exhibition area -bringing it to 5,350 square meters – making it the largest event ever staged by ETES, attracting an incredible range of suppliers from all over the world.

Machinery and Production are among the most popular attractions of the show, and 2013 will see some significant new faces alongside many familiar ones. Returning after their successful debut in 2012 will be Amada and Agie Charmilles, joining more established exhibitors such as Yamazaki Mazak, XYZ Machine Tools, Haas Automation and many others. Among the new exhibitors for 2013 is Devon-based YMT Technologies, one of the UK’s leading tooling suppliers. Other well known names exhibiting for the first time will be Orgatex UK, Farsound Engineering, Fronius UK, Weldlogic Europe and TUV Rheinland.

The enlarged Hall 2 will host a huge number of suppliers and contractors covering virtually every aspect of electronics design and production. Joining big names such as Blundell Production Equipment, Spirit Circuits, Eurocircuits, RS Components, Anixter Component Solutions and hundreds of others, will be new exhibitors such as Blakell Europlacer, Amphenol, Croylek, TTI Inc/Mouser Electronics, REO(UK) and the Paragon Electronics Group.

Sub-contract services represented cover just about every conceivable engineering or manufacturing activity, from PCB design, assembly and box-build to castings, machining and fabrication. The ever-popular free technical seminar sessions return for 2013, running in two lecture theatres over both days of the show, giving visitors the opportunity to see presentations covering a broad range of business and technical topics delivered by expert speakers in their respective fields.
