ABB has released a new 16-page guide outlining its instrumentation offering for downstream oil and gas applications. Featuring a detailed double-page process diagram, the guide details ABB’s full range of instrumentation products and services for refining and petrochemical production processes.
The diagram is broken down into four key stages, namely blending and crude distillation, hydrotreating and hydrocracking, petrochemical production and petrochemical derivative processes. The role that ABB’s instruments can play in each of these stages is fully outlined, with a detailed application section explaining how ABB’s products can be deployed to help meet some of the main challenges faced by plant operators.
Amongst the various challenges featured in the brochure are eliminating plugged impulse lines in pressure transmitters, minimising flow measurement errors, optimising alkylation plant efficiency and achieving improved control of ethylene cracking processes.
The guide also features a comprehensive product selection guide providing details about the various instrumentation options available from ABB. A four-page table is used to outline the products available, together with details of certification, whether they are suitable for solids, gas or liquids measurement and where they can be deployed in refining and petrochemical production processes.
Supporting this section is a full page explaining ABB’s range of measurement products services, covering everything from the planning phase through to commissioning and full lifecycle servicing, in accordance with international industry standards.
