FOAMGLAS® insulation is the only 100% closed cell, Euroclass A1 insulation. It cannot burn and prevents cooking-oil wicking fires.

Companies such as Premier Foods have invested in FOAMGLAS® insulation to prevent production down time previously caused by fires starting in oil-soaked fibrous insulation. The fires are usually spontaneous and start when the oil wicks along the insulation and reaches the right temperature/concentration to start combustion without external spark or flame. Wicking fires are extremely common in the food industry and will typically cause expensive production stoppages.

The simple solution of using FOAMGLAS® cellular glass insulation to replace fibrous insulation in pasty oven linings, on hot pipework and on kettle-crisp frying vats can lead to greater productivity and profitability.

FOAMGLAS® insulation is totally impermeable to moisture, and proof against vermin infestation. It is an effective insulation for the temperature range  minus 270°C to +480°C.
