Grundfos ALLDOS manufactures chemical dosing pumps, disinfection systems, dosing packages and control systems for chemical injection processes throughout industry.
Applications include ferric dosing for phosphate removal : orthophosphoric acid dosing for plumbosolvency, sodium hypochlorite dosing in disinfection systems, hydrochloric, acid dosing for chlorine dioxide generation, biocide dosing in cooling towers; water treatment chemical dosing in municipal WTWs, hydrazine dosing in power stations, calcium hypochlorite Hypro-70 dosing in swimming pools & additives dosing in food and beverage processes.
• Instrumentation and controllers
Flow cells with hydromechanical or motorised cleaning can accommodate chlorine, pH, redox and temperature electrodes together with sample water flow detection. Additional electrodes are available for chlorine dioxide, peracetic acid, hydrogen peroxide and fluoride. Controllers can be programmed for any parameters.
• Disinfection systems
Gas dosing systems are available for chlorination, sulphonation and ammoniation. Components include vacuum regulators, chlorinators, injectors and evaporators. Chlorine dioxide generators, electro-chlorination units and calcium hypochlorite tablet feeders are also available.
• Polymer preparation systems
Polyelectrolyte make-up packages handling up to 8000 litres/h are supplied mechanically pre-assembled and prewired with mixers, screw powder feeders, wetting units, and Siemens PLCs. Dosing tank-sets incorporating a tank, pumps, level switches and a mixer are also available.
Digital Dosing Pumps
Digital Dosing™ pumps offer a range of features and functions to suit all applications.
From simple versions to pumps capable of handling very complex tasks without losing their user-friendliness, 9 pumps cover the range from 2.5 lph to 940 lph. The list of functions includes manual control, full pulse control, analog control, timer-based batch control, and pulse-based batch control. A number of unique features can be added to this list, including an efficient anti-cavitation function for high-viscosity liquids. Digital Dosing™ pumps can be integrated into a wide range of automated process systems via an optional Profibus module.
The new, large DME pumps in the Digital Dosing™ series are an excellent example of how Grundfos Alldos continually strives to bring innovative solutions to professionals in every corner of the world. Judging by the success of the existing range, the new pumps will prove highly useful to users worldwide. Recent successes with dosing pumps include Framework Agreements with Severn Trent Water and United Utilities.
• Chemical dosing packages
Chemical dosing packages are offered, and include skid-mounted modules complete with transfer pumps, tanks, cabling, control panels. All associated testing, installation and commissioning is provided.
• Mechanical diaphragm dosing pumps
DMI 208 motor-driven dosing pumps have manual stroke length adjustment for accurate dosing applications. DMI 208 Etron pumps have manual stroke and manual speed control, with pulsed input water meter control. DMX M221 and DMX 226M/L are motor-driven dosing pumps with capacities from 0.4 to 1600 litres/h. They are available in simplex or duplex formats.
• Piston diaphragm dosing pumps
DMH 250 and DMH 280 are hydraulically actuated, piston diaphragm dosing pumps. They have an internal pressure relief valve / AMS diaphragm protection system that protects against damage from cavitation or overpressure. They can be supplied with cast iron gearboxes, making them especially suitable for petrochemical processes requiring API 675 standards. ATEX II 2G motors and certification can be specified for hazardous areas.
