Tecan Ltd is a UK company specialising in the manufacture of precision, bespoke components using Photo Electroforming (PEF) and Photo Chemical Machining (PCM) technology, serving many industries such as electronics, aerospace, medical, telecommunications, defence, optical and automotive, producing parts to tight tolerances / dimensions.

These products typically include Encoders, Masks, Meshes/Sieve, Stepped Hybrid Lids for electronic packages and Lead Frames. In our development of photo electroforming Tecan are now capable of manufacturing microstructures with tolerances of 1 – 2 microns and even sub-micron registration and alignment accuracy.

A purpose-built, computer-controlled finishing facility, allows Tecan to offer an extremely wide range of finishes including Gold, Silver and Electroless Nickel. Tecan also manufacture custom designed EMI/RFI screening cans providing a dedicated fast-response ‘design to delivery’ facility for low and high volumes.

Tecan Stencil Division’s development of the Electroformed Multi Level Stencil is an increasingly popular technique used to produce stencils with step-ups and recesses – allowing the optimum amount of paste to be deposited exactly where it is needed – thus minimising reworks.

These together with photo-chemical etched and laser cut stencils ensure cost-effective solutions for all PCB production needs.
