The importance of choosing the right liquid fertiliser tanks for saturated field issues

After the extremely long wet period that we’ve had, there is a tendency to hope that once the sun returns and temperatures begin to rise that the saturated field issues will rectify themselves, but according to Western Morning News, this is not necessarily the case.

The obvious water damage to crops and pastures is one thing, which includes loss of top soil by soil erosion, but less obvious damaging effects of soil productivity will range from surface compaction, the leaching of soil nutrients, loss of soil structure and a decrease in microbial activity.

By taking these damage factors into account when planning soil and plant nutrition programme, it will be possible to restore full potential forage production sooner.  For the storage of liquid fertilisers, it is a good idea to choose large and dedicated liquid fertiliser tanks. Enduramaxx liquid fertiliser tanks are made from UV stabilised polyethylene and come in sizes up to 30,000 litres, meaning bulk buying will bring additional savings too.

Enduramaxx produces a tank for all farming requirements including; cone tanks, potable water tanks, baffled water tanks, vertical tanks and rainwater harvesting tanks.  For more information, please get in touch.
