A bi-monthly(ish) lighthearted insight into the world of PII's publisher Guy Ullmann's latest going's on, together with updates about PII and details of ‘What's coming up‘ in each issue
What a difference a couple of months make (and a couple of bank holidays!)
After 4 months of no Beach Tennis action due my hernia, I played my first tournament, and surprisingly reached the final, however lost a gruelling match 9-7 – my lack of match practice began to show in the final, but I was very happy to get that far (and win a brand new racket!)
I also met a really nice lady friend, who happened to be a Chemical Engineer – what are the chances!? You can imagine the conversation when I told her about PII! She has since of course subscribed and genuinely commented that she loved it.
However, due to a work project many years ago, she is now dangerously allergic to cats, to the point she can stop breathing, which has put a rather sharp halt on things, at least until Robi moves into her new apartment next month, which at least solves what would have been the mother of all arguments about who keeps the cats!
Story to tbc – I hope…!
For Easter I escaped to Malta with one of my best friends, which was an interesting experience. It was the first time we’d been on holiday together and it quickly dawned on me that perhaps we weren’t the best of travel companions…
I hired a car so that we could explore as much as possible, and whilst I was planning an itinerary, Sara was planning which gym to go to! On holiday, really!? (every morning for 2 hours!)
Eating was also fun, I know what a pain in the bum I am being a Vegetarian, however Sara is a vegan, which is a whole new level of pain in the bum!
At least we could relax in the evenings sampling local beverages, oh wait a minute, Sara doesn’t drink (facepalm)
Apart from these minor differences, we had a great time, but needless to say, we won’t be going on holiday together any time soon!
As for Malta, I found it really busy, the traffic is crazy, I can't imagine how it would be during the summer. I really liked Valletta, but the culture seemed to be a little confused. We didn't have time, or the weather to visit the much talked about Blue Lagoon, so maybe I'll be back to visit that, but I'll live if I don't!
We're currently working on creating our first set of Process Stories, which will be on the live website very soon.
Each Process Story will:
– Appear at the top of the homepage
– Appear on every article on the website
– Remain in the archive section
– Have a unique url so that it is indexed by search engines and can be shared
Our service includes creating a unique custom template in your corporate colours.
We just require copy + images (or we can use our own stock account) and we'll do the rest.

I recently joined 2 friends and 2 of their friends on a short break.
I was the last to arrive at the apartment, and on entering saw a photo in the entrance hall of an old lady, which is a strange thing to see in a holiday apartment and without thinking I commented;
“So who's mum is this then!!?“
I was quickly greeted with a sharp nudge in the side by my friend, who replied;
“That's Martin's late wife, Gill“
F*******k I thought to myself, how I wanted the ground to swallow me up, I didn't even know the guy!
Moral of the story:
Don't take framed photo's of your late wife on holiday.
OK, maybe not, but it is a bit weird though, wouldn't you agree?
I do have a track record of putting my size 9's in it, one day I might learn…
My sister has a screensaver of Ivan on her phone, in fact I told her about this and she was in hysterics and certainly saw the funny side, I guess you have to sometimes despite the sadness around it – such as my current dilemma with the bloody cats!
Send any comments and I'll get right back to you
