A bi-monthly(ish) lighthearted insight into the world of PII's publisher Guy Ullmann's latest going's on, together with updates about PII and details of ‘What's coming up‘ in each issue
It's been a strange few months for me…
Â
At the end of last year we nearly lost one of our boys (Nusa), he had to have an emergency operation which has resulted in ‘him' becoming a ‘her', I'll spare you the details, but it brings a tear to my eye just thinking about it, the poor bugger.
Although he does look super cute with his new poodle-esk hair cut!
Â
Christmas was also a little strange, too many family politics, the first Christmas I wasn't with Robi, and it's truly heartbreaking to see my father's Alzheimer's worsening and my hero disappearing, it's a bloody cruel world.
Â
And, to top it off, in January, after 5 truly fantastic years with Robi, we sadly decided to part ways, which has honestly knocked me for six, it's not a great feeling losing your best mate and partner in crime.
Â
This was the reason I missed my January WCU, and it does feel weird writing this issue without Robi in it, but thank you to those who asked why I missed my January edition.
Â
So, not quite the start to 2023 I had planned, however as they say; things can only get better, right?
Rather annoyingly my phone camera was broken for quite a while which means there are a few gaps in my going's on unfortunately, so I am including what seems like a lifetime ago things over Christmas..
My older sister always spoils our mum rotten at Christmas, and this year she bought her a luxury advent calendar, which included glamorous goodies such as perfumes, toiletries & jewellery etc.
Mum opened the final box with us and when she revealed what it was my sister & I burst into fits of hysterics, whilst mum remained totally baffled by what it was, which was obviously a ‘Smart Facial Cleansing Device' – that's what we thought too, honest 😉
At the beginning of the year I announced our latest service ‘Process Stories', which offers an exciting new way to engage with our audience…
No doubt you are familiar with the interactive, video first Web Stories which are now part of the marketing stratosphere across social media, Process Stories are our adaption of this new & exciting way to tell your story.

I'd like to end with a funny story that happened with a lovely client this week…
I was telling her my predicament with Robi and that she was adamant she was taking the boys (Ich & Nusa) with her when she moves into her the house she has just purchased.
Now bearing in mind we have exchanged many conversations about our beloved pets, I found her response slightly extreme, I won't share the entire script, but it started with;
“Probably won’t seem like it now, but I am sure if and when it does happen, in a little while it will become more amicable, and you’ll hopefully have joint custody and have them weekends and such….“
Oh I thought to myself, I think she may have the wrong end of the stick here…!
So I replied:
“Ah, it's not as serious as actual ‘boys' – I meant the cats! But they are still my boys!
Appreciate your wise words anyway!!”
“Oh my god how stupid do I feel!!!! Lol “
It certainly made me chuckle in what is proving to be a really crappy situation, but it's small moments like these that can help make any situation better 🙂
Thank you Sarah!
