Advantech Ultra Slim Open Frame Monitor for Efficient Installation

Advantech releases IDS-3115, a 15″ XGA industrial LED open frame monitor. The brand-new IDS-3115 has a slim and light mechanical design offering versatile choices in industrial grade display solutions. The open front bezel design enables flexible and customized face plates for easy re-engineering and is also ideal for any embedded application. IDS-3115 has integrated brackets on the chassis edges which makes installation easier.

The versatile mounting methods include rear and VESA mounting (75 x 75 mm or 100 x100 mm). To meet different customer needs, IDS-3115 comes in two versions, IDS-3115 standard and IDS-3115 E. IDS-3115 standard provides 400-nits brightness, and -20~60° C wide operating temperature monitors with dual VGA and DVI signal interfaces. IDS-3115 E offers a more economic version which supports 250-nits brightness and 0~45° C operating temperature with VGA signal interface only.

Slim and Light Design for Efficient Installation
The IDS-3115 open frame monitor incorporates simple and slim mechanical design into a two piece metal frame structure (middle frame and back cover). This simple slim design is only 32.8 mm thick (non-touch solution) while most competing models are above 50mm thick. Therefore, IDS-3115 offers up to 20% space saving which enables more efficient installation into applications. Furthermore, because of the slim mechanical design, IDS-3115’s weight is reduced to 2.6kg (non-touch solution), while most competing models in the market are above 3.5kg.

LED Backlight and Wide Temperature Support
For industrial grade displays, LED backlights are current trend in backlight design. The IDS-3115 comes with an industrial grade panel and LED backlight which saves 20%~30% on power consumption and reaches higher brightness. The 400-nit brightness and 700:1 contrast ratio together brings much better visibility than common monitors particularly in the environment with stronger ambient luminance. The wide viewing angle of 160° horizontal and 140° vertical provides a wider range viewing area for end users. In addition, IDS-3115’s wide range operating temperature of -20° C to 60° C, makes it suitable for semi-outdoor or outdoor applications that can function under harsh environments.

Flexible Mounting Support: Rear Mount / VESA Mount
Designed with integrated brackets and VESA holes on the back cover, IDS-3115 provides multiple mounting methods, including rear and VESA mounting, which makes for simple integration with any embedded application.

which are suitable for display sizes under 22” or under 14kg weight.
