AUMA Ex actuators gain National Grid approval

Listen to this article

AUMA, supplier of modular electric actuators to the gas, petrochemical and process industries, has achieved National Grid T/SP/VA/2 approval for its range of Ex certified actuators.

The approval, which covers both actuators supplied directly to National Grid and products incorporated within permanent works undertaken by approved main works contractors, adds to AUMA’s extensive list of approvals including ATEX, IECEx, FM and CSA.

Commenting on the achievement Paul Hopkins, MD of AUMA UK Ltd., said:

“We are delighted to receive the certification from National Grid. It reinforces AUMA’s long and successful experience in supplying actuator solutions globally to industries managing hazardous environments”

“On a local UK level, it gives AUMA access to provide solutions to both National Grid and its main contractors.”

National Grid is an international electricity and gas company and one of the largest investor-owned energy companies in the world: energy is provided to millions of customers across Great Britain and the Northeast US.

AUMA UK Ltd. is the UK subsidiary of AUMA GmbH, the manufacturer and global supplier of modular electric actuators.
