Protection and support program for Metal Detection product line

Bunting® Magnetics Co. has created a new protection and support program for our Metal Detection product line named the Pro-Series™ Protection Plan. This three-stage program is designed to provide superior performance beginning at the installation of the product through the life of the metal detector.

“We recognize the importance of highly reliable, accurate and cost effective metal detection products to our customers’ business,” Fred Fishman, Vice President of Operations for Bunting® said. “We want to support our customers’ objectives and feel that this exclusive program will maximize up-time for their operations.”

The Pro-Series™ Protection Plan features three options for customers to use; Pro-Start™, Pro-Maintenance™ and Pro-Warranty™. Each option is designed to provide specific services to optimize the performance of Bunting® metal detection equipment.

Pro-Start™ covers start-up support for new equipment. A factory-trained Service Technician is on-site during installation to properly calibrate the metal detector and train customer personnel. This program also features an extension of the original one-year factory warranty to two years and provides two full years of phone-based technical support.

“Pro-Start™ allows us to help our customers get their equipment functioning perfectly from day one,” stated Rod Henricks, Bunting® Product Manger for Metal Detection. “There are a variety of environments our metal detectors are used in, some of them harsh, and it is crucial to have to on-site assistance during the initial start-up and use of the machine. “

Pro-Maintenance™ offers two choices for our customers, a Gold Plan and a Platinum Plan. For the Gold Plan, our Service Technicians will visit our customer site once a year to service and calibrate the metal detector and upgrade software, if necessary. Also, it gives a 15% discount on labor and a 10% discount on parts for any needed repair work. For the Platinum Plan, there are two yearly service calls and the discounts increase to 25% for labor and 15% for parts for repair work. Both options provide two years of technical support and on-site training for factory personnel.

Pro-Warranty™ gives customers the ability to extend their factory-authorized warranty coverage for up to a full five years from the installation date. This option is only available at the time a Bunting® metal detector is purchased. This cost-effective coverage includes all repair parts and labor is included when an on-site visit is required. Pro-Warranty™ also provides the latest software updates, expedited shipment of spare parts and additional discounts for any new metal detector purchased during the warranty period.

“A great benefit of our Pro-Warranty™ program is that it protects our customers from costly emergency expense,” Henricks said. “In any manufacturing operation, there will be situations that cause downtime and cost money. This program helps to guard against those issues by providing fast service and it locks in expenses. One year of our Pro-Warranty™ coverage is about half the cost of one replacement board for a metal detector.”

The Pro-Series™ Protection Plan also offers additional services including repairs for out of warranty equipment, calibration service calls to make equipment audit-ready and our Board Replacement Program which provides Control and Display boards by the next day if ordered by 2:00 PM Central Time.
