Bürkert Fluid Control Systems has appointed a new Account Manager for Ireland. Des McCarthy brings a wealth of industry experience to Bürkert and will support customers covering the breadth of process and measurement control applications.
The remit includes customer care and business development across Ireland with a particular emphasis on supporting and developing OEM business as well as delivering process control systems. Bürkert aims to grow into several markets aided by the recent release of new technologies, such as the FLOwave surface acoustic wave flowmeter, and Des will spearhead the company’s development in Ireland.
Des comes to Bürkert with 10 years’ experience within process engineering. He has extensive knowledge of process control and instrumentation with five years at the Dublin headquarters of established distributor, Manotherm. Prior to joining Bürkert, Des was a sales engineer at Atlas Copco covering the Republic of Ireland across the company’s Compressor Technique and Vacuum divisions.
