New Customisable Locker Automates Dispensing Of Large Durable Items

CribMaster, the leader in industrial inventory and asset management, has introduced the MultiStore, a spacious customisable locker that automates the dispensing of large durable items and high-use consumables

Efficient stock control and asset management is crucial for minimising operational costs in manufacturing facilities. CribMaster’s hardware and software products are designed to provide workers on the shop floor and in any production process with supplies they need in a timely manner to improve workflow and optimise cost reduction.

The MultiStore cabinet’s 24 spacious lockers offer quick and secure access to tools and equipment such as PPE, gauges, hand and power tools, calibration equipment and bulk supplies such as gloves and safety glasses.
Michele Salimbeni-Schnoll, Product Manager for CribMaster, said: “The MultiStore is an access-controlled, flexible locker managed by our advanced Inventory Management System software.

“It acts as a storage cabinet stocked with all the mission-critical equipment required to operate at optimum efficiency.

“The MultiStore speeds up the process of dispensing larger items and high quantities of consumables which in turn, eliminates a great deal of downtime.”

The Cribmaster Inventory Management System software allows manufacturers to set access controls for each of the MultiStore’s 24 lockers independently, secured by user ID, supervisor, shift, etc. This helps eliminate thefts and prevents workers from “hoarding” items.

With see-through doors and white shelves, workers can easily identify what tools and equipment are available at any given time.

The 24 lockers are also fitted with a power strip so that workers can recharge their tools when storing them.

The MultiStore can be set up as a main unit for a work area with a variety of inventory needs, or paired with other CribMaster solutions as an auxiliary unit.
