Dixon engineers metal hose assemblies for a variety of severe industrial environments and applications.
The hoses are between ¼ inch and 6 inch (bore sizes between 6 mm and 150 mm, and up to 300 mm for specialist applications) and are made from stainless steel cores (grades 321, 316L) with a variety of overbraid options.
Metal hoses can handle temperature ranges of –273 °C to +600 °C and pressures up to 300 bar, depending on the hose type and size. They are built according to EN ISO 10380 specifications and offer medium-pressure flexibility in standard, close or wide pitch types.
Key Features
• Very good corrosion resistance and high strength
• Reliable consistent performance during a long service life
• Suitable for liquids and gases
Dixon hoses are well suited for demanding industries such as steel, petrochemical, power, food, pharmaceuticals, aerospace, transport and more.
End Fittings & Quality Assurance
There is a wide variety of end fittings available, including threaded connections, flanges, elbows, cam & groove couplings and bespoke fittings. Hose assemblies are all manufactured in-house, with welding being performed by ASME-registered welders, and undergo rigorous integrity testing.
Testing comprises water pressure, liquid penetration (to ASME requirements) and, where required, x-ray or endoscopic inspection. Manufacture is certified to ISO 9001:2000 and complies with PED 2014/68/EU, certified by Lloyd's Register.
