Boulting Group has achieved SafeContractor certification once more, adding to the company’s comprehensive list of accreditations for its industry-leading health and safety (H&S) and procurement practices.

Boulting Group, and Boulting Engineering Services (BES), achieved accreditation following a seven week external audit, which examined the company’s H&S policies, procedures and documentation. The SafeContractor certification further demonstrates the company’s long history of strong performance in health, safety and operational excellence, including 22 consecutive years of RoSPA Gold Award wins.

Martin Glover, Group Health & Safety Manager at Boulting Group, comments: “We are delighted to attain SafeContractor certification for a second year and look forward to working with SafeContractor partners across industry sectors. Third-party validation is a key way of benchmarking our internal H&S culture and practices, while our H&S strategy demonstrates our commitment to continual improvement across the Group.

“2016 has been a very strong year for Boulting Group with considerable investment in our range of H&S programs. We have rolled-out two new H&S procedures, for Principal Contractors and Principal Designers; made significant advances in our culture and behavioural initiatives by carrying out the first tranche of a drug and alcohol testing program; and to support all H&S activities, we have completed over 400 man days of training to date this year, with regards to the two new procedures as well as our H&S Work Instruction. Each of these components is aligned to ensure the highest levels of H&S in our working environment for our employees and supply chain partners.”

Boulting Group has a full range of industry certifications, including OHSAS 18001:2007, while SafeContractor is a member of Safety Schemes In Procurement (SSIP).

The company specialises in the provision of multi-discipline engineering services, offering front end design, detailed design, project management and fabrication, manufacture, construction, commissioning and validation to a broad range of industrial sectors such as pharmaceutical, energy, nuclear, chemical, petro-chemical, utilities, data communications and infrastructure, with a key focus on controlled/regulated environments such as COMAH, ATEX, cleanroom, sterile and GMP.
