ERP Solution Helps Plastic Manufacture Improve Efficiency

Listen to this article

Lancashire based Nutriculture Ltd, a global leader in wholesale plastic manufacture for the hydroponics industry, has replaced manual processes and improved efficiency with the help of a fully integrated Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP solution, from Azzure IT.

Nutriculture is the first company to relate commercial hydroponic techniques to the needs of the home grower. With an increasing number of sites, supplying over 600 independent hydro shops in the UK, Europe, America and East Asia, it became evident that a new ERP business solution was required to provide a solid platform for growth.

With an extremely high level of production requirements, plus new manufacturing techniques, Nutriculture Ltd needed a business solution that could meet its demands.

Specialist ERP provider, Azzure IT, implemented the Microsoft Dynamics NAV ERP system, which integrates eCommerce, manufacturing and logistics across all sites in a single end-to-end solution.

“The functionality of Dynamics NAV is very easy to navigate, and we like the look and feel of the solution,” explains Paul Williams, IT Director of Nutriculture Ltd. “Plus Azzure’s way of doing business closely matched our own. From the very first meeting, they demonstrated a considerable amount of ERP experience in manufacturing, and the references from Microsoft outshone the rest of the contenders.”

The fully automated system has replaced the manual processes, resulting in increased efficiency and complete manageability of stock across multiple warehouses. With a simple and sophisticated ordering system controlled directly by Microsoft Dynamics NAV, Nutriculture have increased opportunity for upselling, and customer satisfaction levels are at an all-time high.

“We’re delighted the system is yielding benefits for Nutriculture already, and supporting the company’s business growth,” says Managing Director of Azzure IT, Craig Such.
