Essentra Strengthens Industrial Components Offer with Device Technologies Acquisition

Essentra Components, a major industrial components supplier and manufacturer of essential parts for a wide range of sectors, has finalised the acquisition of US-based Device Technologies, significantly expanding its presence in the Americas and enhancing its engineered components portfolio for UK and global markets.

Headquartered in Massachusetts, Device Technologies is a recognised specialist in the design, manufacture and distribution of a wide array of cable protection products and industrial hardware. Its product range includes grommet edging, shielding gaskets and cable sleeving, all of which are vital for protecting wiring and electrical systems across sectors such as energy transformation, transportation, industrial automation and general manufacturing.

The acquisition aligns with Essentra’s strategic commitment to accelerating inorganic growth and broadening its manufacturing and distribution capabilities. The move follows a strong multi-year distribution partnership between the two companies, which demonstrated complementary strengths in cable protection solutions and expanded the reach of both businesses. The integration of Device Technologies’ expertise further enhances Essentra’s offering of manufactured parts and deepens technical product knowledge across the organisation.

Commenting on the acquisition, Scott Fawcett, Chief Executive Officer of Essentra, said:The acquisition of Device Technologies enhances Essentra's product portfolio, expands our presence in the Americas, and unlocks further cross-selling opportunities across the Group. It also further builds our product profile and increases exposure in a variety of markets, from energy transformation, through to transportation and general industries.”

He went on to say: “Device Technologies has over 40 years of operational experience and a strong track record of growth. This transaction is a clear example of our inorganic growth strategy in action, leveraging our strong balance sheet to drive product expansion and market share gains. I am delighted that Device Technologies is now part of Essentra.”

Crucially for existing customers and supply chains, Essentra will retain the Device Technologies brand, ensuring continuity and ongoing support for its established customer base.

Reflecting on the deal, Nick Petri, Special Advisor and former owner of Device Technologies, said:I’m thrilled that Device Technologies has joined the Essentra family and look forward to seeing the company grow with the backing and global reach of Essentra. We have worked together closely for many years, and this feels like a natural and beneficial step forward for our skilled and experienced Device Technologies team.”

The acquisition reinforces Essentra’s status as a leading industrial components partner for manufacturers, distributors and procurement teams seeking high-quality cable protection parts and engineered solutions across global markets.
