EVERDRY adsorption dryers with the new RELOAD method

Reliable pressure dew points below -40°C with Heat-Of-Compression (HOC) systems without additional heating.
With the newly-developed RELOAD method, BEKO sets a new benchmark for energy efficiency regarding the drying of oil-free compressed air in two stages. The chief benefit of the method is that it removes the need to heat the compressed air during the regeneration phase. Pressure dew points of – 40°C can be achieved at compression end temperatures of only 150°C. This saves considerable energy costs and, moreover, protects the environment.

The target group for the EVERDRY adsorption dryers with RELOAD method are all industrial sectors which use compressed air with oil-free compression and which would like to achieve better quality with reduced energy input in the future. Depending on the field of application, BEKO offers the RELOAD method in two plant concepts:
1. In the standard application without additional heating for 2-stage oil free compression for dew points of – 40 °C.
2. In a special application with moderate additional heating, e.g. for the electronics industry, with dew points of – 70 °C.
In plants of the EVERDRY HOC-R series for pressure dew points of – 70°C, a second desorption phase (superheating) takes place via circulated heated dry air subsequent to the end of the first desorption phase (using of the heat of compression). Desorption using heated dry air leads to further separation of water molecules from the desiccant. The desiccant gains in ability to absorb and is thus more effectively able to dry the compressed air to pressure dew points of – 70°C. The dry air used for the second desorption stage is not wasted as is normally the case but is reinjected
into the compressed-air flow.
Therefore, the new RELOAD method is highly efficient increasing the compressed air quality without additional heat and – in the case of special applications for – 70°C , with lower energy input, and it ensures a high return on investment via saved energy and operating costs.
