New Filter Media Test Rig For Special Process Conditions Offers Heating Up To 250 °c

With the new filter media test rig MMTC 2000 EHF, Palas® GmbH is able to supply a test rig with heating up to 250 °C and adjustable relative humidity of up to 80 %.

The MMTC 2000 EHF was successfully installed in 2016 at the IUTA, Duisburg, for research on influence of humidity and temperature to the filtration characteristics.

The test rigs in the MMTC 2000 system offer special advantages with regard to their compact design and high flexibility for different applicable testing requirements and enable testing of filter media with different test dusts and comparably low set-up times.

Special sampling probes enable in-situ measurements in the filter housing. With the aid of specially shaped filter holders, the so-called “garland effect” on a filter hose during cleaning can be simulated. The advantages of the MMTC system allow a clear, cost-effective and practically useful comparison of cleanable filter media and exceed the requirements of the standards VDI 3926 and ISO 11057.

Palas® solutions are well known in the filter media industry for bringing clear customer benefits in performance and total cost of ownership. Among its products is MMTC technology, which enables high quality filter media testing with specific expertise in the gas cleaning industry.

The MMTC system offers ultra-precise, reproducible testing systems for the development and quality control of cleanable filter media.

Meet Palas® at Filtech 2016 in Cologne, 11 – 13 October 2016. Palas® shows different filter test rigs that are part of a wide product range for measurements from nano to micro. At Filtech, two filter media can be tested for free directly at the booth!
