Flagship PLC Sets New Standards for Analogue Applications

The new flagship of the Panasonic PLCs sets the highest standards with regards to efficiency and performance. The FP7 series is continually being expanded and, thanks to special units and application cassettes, now offers the possibility to realise analog applications such as temperature control and pressure and distance measurement.

The following application cassettes help to solve automation tasks in a simple and inexpensive way: AFP7FCAD2 (analog input with 2 channels), AFP7FCAD21 (analog input with 2 channels, analog output with 1 channel) and AFP7FCTC2 (thermocouple input with 2 channels).
The following expansion units are designed for more complex and demanding applications: AFP7DA4H, AFP7AD4H, AFP7AD8 (analog I/O units) with a high conversion rate (25µs/channel), excellent resolution (max. 16 bit) and a very high accuracy (max. ±0,05% F.S. and ±0,1% F.S.).
For temperature measurements, Panasonic offers different types of thermocouple and RTD units. The thermocouple input unit AFP7TC8 is equipped with 8 channels and supports ten types of thermocouples. The RTD unit AFP7RTD8 is also equipped with 8 channels and works with three types of resistance temperature detectors.
