July 2016 marks Illinois Instruments’ 30th year as one of the leading experts and manufacturers in gas and moisture measurement.
Illinois Instruments was founded in the U.S. to provide a manufacturing, sales, customer service and technical support function for the North, South, Central, American and Canadian markets.
As part of the brand, Systech Illinois, the company provides efficient and specialist gas analysis solutions to the process, food, pharmaceutical and packaging industries worldwide.
President, Bryan Cummings says of the anniversary, “Our success throughout these years is testament to our employees and partners and their continued response to industry demand. The technology we produce remains a vital component for the process, pharmaceutical and food industries.”
Illinois Instruments started production of oxygen analysers in McHenry, Illinois in 1986 and moved to its current location in Johnsburg, Illinois in 2002. The business continued to develop their product range for the process industry with the introduction of electrochemical oxygen analysers, paramagnetic oxygen analysers and moisture analysers.
Due to market demand, in 2002 the company entered the permeation gas analyser market presenting their range of oxygen and water vapour permeation analysers to the packaging industry.
Illinois Instruments continued to develop their product range for the food and pharmaceutical market when in 2004 they launched the Gaspace Advance, oxygen and carbon dioxide headspace analyser.
Systech Illinois comprises of Illinois Instruments, Inc in the U.S. and Systech Instruments Ltd in the UK, it also has sales and support facilities in China and Thailand and over 100 representatives worldwide. Customer demand for Systech Illinois’ instruments in Asia has recently led to a second relocation to larger offices in Shanghai, China.
Illinois Instruments’ objective is to continue to invest in research and development, to develop product ranges; diversify into new application and industry areas and to always look at improving technical support and customer service whilst meeting customer requirements.
