Grundfos checkout check-in

Listen to this article

As part of an agreement between Grundfos and a major hotel chain, Grundfos had the opportunity to undertake an Energy Check survey on a large hotel in the south of England. These checks provide an accurate, timely and comprehensive way to establish a current pump systems performance. Not only that, but an Energy Check with Grundfos, also provides various post-analysis reports that offer details such as the potential savings and payback periods as well as the various alternative pump solutions you could opt for.

The results in this instance indicated that there were substantial savings of approx. 787,572.80kWh/year could be achieved with a payback period of just 2 years. This level of savings was possible by replacing the existing pumps with new Grundfos variable speed pumps, as this would enable continuously variable control of the motor speed, which means the pumps adapt their performance to the given requirement within the system.

Just a few months after the initial visit, an order was received for the 26 new pumps and their installation took place soon after. The results have been as promised and the customer is so pleased with the results that he has requested that energy checks be undertaken in numerous other hotels in the group.
