GSPX Takes To The (Multi) Stage

Listen to this article

Why have three pumps when you can have one?
High head performance is now available in a sealless, easy to install, compact package following the launch of the new GSPX pump from Sundyne HMD Kontro.

A multi-stage derivative of HMD’s long established GSP range, the GSPX uses a between bearings design (BB5) for the second and third stage impellers and delivers  space and servicing efficiencies plus lower costs than using multiple single stage pumps in series.
Conforming to API 685, the pump produces higher differential pressures than single stage models and is ideal for oil and gas installations, typically refineries, as well as for other chemical and petrochemical applications.
The GSPX is available with two or three in-line stages, two diffuser based hydraulic options and in an end suction configuration, ideal for fitting inducers in very low NPSHA installations. Further efficiencies can be gained via the optional ZeroLoss composite containment shell, which eliminates coupling losses and heating of the process liquid.
Fully draining and self-venting, the GSPX’s commonality with the GSP range delivers maximum convenience with interchangeable components and is available in a range of materials, including bespoke engineered options that allows a multi-stage pump solution to be tailored to specific requirements.
Sundyne HMD Kontro has more than twenty-five years’ experience in API applications and is continuously developing and extending its range, as improved magnet drive technology enables ever more efficient and powerful pumps to be built, widening the application scope of this versatile pump format.
