A range of sizes of hydraulic and instrumentation tubing in high alloy, austenitic stainless steel, Sandvik 254SMO* also known as 6Mo, UNS31254, is now available from stock at Sandvik Materials Technology.

Ideal for installations in industrial, oil and gas and chemical applications, Sandvik 254SMO* is equally suited to arduous and demanding environments. The tubing has very good impact strength and high resistance to general corrosion and is available from stock in a range of outside diameters from 6 mm up to 25 mm, but other sizes can be manufactured to customer requirements.

Suitable for use under severe corrosion conditions in sea water and chloride bearing environments, the material has excellent resistance to pitting and crevice corrosion, as well as a high resistance to stress corrosion cracking, making it ideal for marine use.  

Typical applications for Sandvik hydraulic and instrumentation tubing include clean rooms, chemical plant, refineries, desalination plants, marine industry, processing and production facilities, fire fighting systems, hospitals, food manufacture, paper processing, offshore oil and gas installations, etc.

Sandvik seamless stainless steel tubing is of the highest quality and cleanliness standards offering high corrosion resistance, excellent surface smoothness and close dimensional tolerances for safer and more reliable joints.

Tubes are supplied to hardness HRB 90 max., from stock in standard 6 metre lengths and sealed at both ends to ensure cleanliness ready for installation.

All materials are manufactured in accordance with industry quality standards and can be certified in accordance to NACE MR 0175/ ISO 15156-3.

Sandvik hydraulic and instrumentation tubes are supplied to EN 10204 3.1, complete with original mill certificates guaranteeing complete traceability of the finished product right from the melting stage.
