In-line Process Sensors for Food & Beverage Products

Listen to this article

The InPro8300 RAMS series from METTLER TOLEDO provides reliable, automatic product separation and identification.

Designed for in-line use in phase separation and product identification applications by turbidity or colour, the rugged InPro8300 RAMS systems are simple to configure, easy to use and require minimal maintenance. These systems are widely used in brewery applications for beer/water separation before the filler line and in separator control, as well as in dairy production for water saving. For product identification, a “fingerprint” of each product is taken and stored in the InPro8300 RAMS’ built-in memory. The InPro8300 RAMS can detect up to eight different liquids.

Key benefits
•    Reliable identification of products based on eight optical parameters
•    Up to eight products can be stored in the sensor and identified
•    Easy to use through built-in factory calibration
•    Output of product type via digital contacts to PLC
•    Easy zero point adjustment with water
•    Uses long-lasting LEDs: no bulb replacement required
•    Easy to retrofit to VARINLINE® sight glasses or access units
