indurad’s upgraded 3D Silo + reducing cost

Listen to this article

In the past five years indurad has implemented 50+ Silo scanning solutions mostly for large and complex silos in the mining and cement industry. This experience inspired the development of a more powerful and simplified iSilo solution that will enable operators to gain operational insight on their silos with minimal effort.

Powerful and Simple Hardware

With the recent introduction of the iSDR-P sensor, iSilo has received a hardware update that sets the standard for 3D silo scanning. The sensor offers a larger field of view (180° x 120°) and a much better resolution (1cm) compared to commonly available radar while maintaining radar’s outstanding performance in harsh environments. The processing unit has also been simplified for rapid deployment and is now delivered as a compact, one-size-fits-all, cabinet,: the iRPU-F.

Enhanced Software

To complement the hardware upgrade, indurad’s software team focused on the usability of the software, reducing the commissioning time, enabling trained personnel to commission iSilo on-site, and with an improved live 3D visualisation of material in the silo. Several advanced features were added to detect problematic material behaviours in the silo such as rat holes, bridging, material sticking to walls, etc.

With iSilo, indurad now has a product in it’s portfolio that allows customers to connect inventory to their decision making with ease. By significantly reducing the implementation effort, the deployment cost is massively reduced. By using the power of a new sensor and better software to reduced unit costs, the solution is now very attractive for customers from various industries, including biomass, woodchips, cement, chemicals, powerplants, etc.

The iSilo3D product is available now and in stock.
