Integrated Oil and Gas Industry Solutions showcased at ONS exhibition

JOHN CRANE SHOWCASES COMPREHENSIVE RANGE OF INTEGRATED SOLUTIONS AT ONS 2010

John Crane’s integrated oil and gas industry solutions were the theme of its stand at this year’s ONS exhibition. Its comprehensive product portfolio covers engineered products for rotating equipment including turbomachinery sealing solutions, power transmission couplings, bearing technologies and specialised filtration systems. These are supported by a global customer support network.

Among the seals displayed were the ISO 21049/API 682-compliant 1648 single cartridge model plus the 5620 cartridge seal. These were accompanied by an API Plan 53B support system. John Crane’s specialist supplier credentials were reflected in the turbomachinery seals on display, headed by the Type 28EXP non-contacting, dry-running gas seal for high pressure applications. Also displayed were John Crane’s Type 83 and Type 93FR separation seals which offer contacting and non-contacting solutions to the problems of oil penetrating from a compressor bearing into an outboard gas seal. They also prevent process gas from the outboard stage of a gas seal entering the bearing cavity. 

The Type 8600 high duty seals demonstrated John Crane’s ability to provide solutions for offshore and pipeline applications. These advanced high-duty seals handle pressures of 200bar and speeds over 50m/s. John Crane also showed its Upstream Pumping technology which delivers greatly increased life expectancy, ultra-high reliability, low maintenance and reduced costs.

Service and customer support were also highlighted, including the company’s 24/7 emergency response service and its dedicated North Sea facilities in Aberdeen, Bergen, Stavanger and Oslo.
