The new intelligent actual-position feedback units used for mounting onto linear actuators of diaphragm valves
At this year’s ACHEMA, SISTO Armaturen S.A., a KSB Group company, will for the first time present its SK-i actual-position feedback unit to be used for mounting onto a linear actuator. This feedback unit was developed with the special requirements of sterile process engineering, in particular those of pharmacy and biotechnology, in mind. Continuous valve position recording allows the valve disc to be automatically adjusted within the 46 mm travel range.
The unit can be initialised either on site via pushbutton or via the so-called “teach-in” function by remote initialisation from the process control station. All relevant information such as valve position, stand-by and failure statuses are signalled on site via LED and can optionally be transferred to the process control station. The actual-position feedback unit is fitted in a high-quality plastic housing which allows integration of a solenoid valve. An optional stainless steel housing is available to meet the most demanding requirements.
