Kistler Sensors Inc. has further expanded its vision of “data anywhere, anytime” for operators, owners, and managers of silo and tank facilities by releasing its Android-based remote control and monitoring application, Kistler Connexion.™ The application communicates with the electronics in the Kistler SOLO™ weight and level measurement solution for bulk material storage and inventory control, and displays readings on Android-based smartphones.

“Our customers have important priorities other than worrying about complicated inventory scenarios,” said Kennan Yilmaz, President of Kistler Sensors. “Kistler Connexion turns the customer’s phone into an intelligent silo remote control. With it, customers can remotely monitor, control, and manage their inventories in real time from anywhere they can access the Internet, whether via Wi-Fi or cellular network.”

Once Kistler Connexion is downloaded to the phone, the customer inputs the IP address of the silo (SOLO electronics) and configures the app via a simple interface.

From then on, the customer can keep tabs on silo contents and alarm situations. Kistler Connexion can be downloaded from Google Play for free by using the keyword Kistler.

“The future versions of Kistler Connexion will have exciting features to further simplify life for our customers. I would like to invite customers to submit feature requests via our website,” added Yilmaz.

Kistler Sensors Inc. offers inventory monitoring for storage silos using the latest technology developed by industrial instrument inventor Walter Kistler. StrainCell™ sensors install with a single bolt and provide fully temperature-compensated, highly accurate, nonintrusive, continuous weight and level measurement of bulk storage materials. Measurement readings are viewable on-site or anywhere in the world via Internet-enabled intelligent electronics. The company is headquartered in Bellevue, WA USA.
