Remote configuration and management software
Kistler Sensors Inc. has published its new remote configuration and management software developed to enhance customers’ ability to manage Kistler SOLO™ silo scale solution.
The software is free of charge for use with the Kistler SOLO weight and level measurement solution for bulk material storage and inventory control.
“We understand the importance of the ‘data anywhere, anytime’ concept, and software plays an important role in customizing our strain-measurement solutions to the specific needs of customers,” said Kennan Yilmaz, President of Kistler Sensors. “Kistler SOLO Manager is the first of a series of software solutions we’re introducing. Our goal is to make the integration and management of our solutions seamless in customers’ processes.”
Kistler SOLO Manager enables customers to set up, configure, and communicate with the SOLO system installed on their silos or storage bins from anywhere in the world, on private or public networks. It can be used to configure the serial and Ethernet communication interface, upgrade the electronics firmware, and even program the SOLO to send periodic emails to designated recipients.
“Imagine your silo reaching out to communicate with you,” added Yilmaz. The emails can be received on mobile devices as well as on computers, and can provide weight and level readings or alarm alerts to prevent emergencies. The software is currently available only for the Microsoft Windows platform. Kistler SOLO offers highly accurate, stable, affordable silo monitoring that is easy to install and easy to calibrate – and now it’s easy to manage from anywhere, anytime.
