New Appointments for CompAir

Listen to this article

CompAir/Gardner Denver has announced the appointment of Colin Mander to the newly-created post of Aftermarket Sales Director across the whole of Europe, Middle East and Africa. This promotion follows Colin’s three years as Managing Director of CompAir in the UK.

Commenting on his aims for the new role, Colin said, “For our customers, the ongoing support of the compressor, during its lifetime, is just as important as the initial selection. Today, maintaining compressors and helping to lower customers’ cost of ownership is a fundamental part of our business.”

“As a result, our priority in the aftermarket sector is to increase sales of genuine parts and oil throughout the EMEA region as well as developing the range and scope of our service support and maintenance contracts. The supply of non-genuine spares, especially during these tough economic times, continues to be a real issue for the industry and at CompAir, we will continue to promote the benefits of using manufacturer’s parts to ensure compressor efficiency and reliability.”

Following this move, Chris Hall has been appointed to the post of Sales Director for CompAir UK. Chris Hall has worked in the compressed air industry since 1985 and was previously CompAir’s Sales and Service Manager – East, a position that he has held for the last four years.

Comments Chris, “We are continuing to develop our energy-efficient and oil-free compressor product portfolio to ensure that both our existing and new customers can benefit from the latest cost-saving technologies. 2012 looks to be a challenging economic climate and I’m looking forward to working with customers to help achieve better efficiencies and lower operating costs in their compressor installations.”

The announcement was made at the recent CompAir distributor conference, which was attended by 125 distributors from across the UK.  The event also gave an overview of some of the new product launches planned for 2012 alongside service updates, together with a range of guest speakers discussing key industry topics.
