Listen to this article

Non-contact radar is one of the fastest growing level measurement technologies for solids especially in grain and milling; with no wear, no cross contamination or cable issues, it has proven reliability to measure through dust, air movement and even mounted close to filling streams with no loss of echo.

A new variant 30m range VEGAPULS SR68 radar from VEGA, perfectly compliments the existing VEGAPULS 67 15m low cost solids radar and VEGAPULS 68 75m premium specification devices with no compromise of software or system sensitivity. It has process connections in threaded, flanged and aiming swivel mountings, a temperature capability up to 250 degrees C and air purging option for cooling and cleaning when required. with 4-20mA, multi-drop HART, fieldbus and Ethernet communications, ATEX Gas and Dust choices round out the offering from VEGA.
