Practical Aspects of PROFINET, PROFIBUS & IO-Link – New Dates

We were really hoping that we will be able to present these live seminars with technology demonstrations and tabletop exhibitions this year. But the fates conspired against us and we have been forced to postpone them all, with Birmingham now arranged for 17th November, and Strathclyde and Belfast moved to 2022 with dates yet to be confirmed.

These events are well worth the wait, being of great value to Designers, Production/System Engineers, Instrument Technicians/Engineers and C&I Engineers involved in the design, operation and maintenance of modern automated factories and process plant. This is what we've currently got planned, subject to change:

• Highlights of new supported technologies, the protocol basics and their benefits to UK industry.
• PROFINET network design covering fundamental principles that must be considered at the design stage of an automation system.
• Network gateway technology with demonstrations of PROFINET to Profibus DP, PA, IO-Link and OPC UA
• Industrial network commissioning and testing: how to simplify the process, prevent failures and resolve cable and network issues faster.
• PROFIBUS and PROFINET device configuration tools and FDI with a live demonstration of PROFIBUS and PROFINET configuration.
• Industrial networks safety & security covering the basics of legislation and responsibilities for cybersecurity, safety and functional safety for Industrial Automation.
• Update on Industry 4.0, IIoT, TSN, APL and Big Data, showing how PROFINET is placed as the ideal network for all of these.
