HBM is now offering the PX01EP Ethernet/IP enabled interface card, designed specifically for the company’s PMX data acquisition and control system to simplify automation tasks with Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs).
With EtherNet/IP being one of the most commonly used automation protocols in the world for PLCs, the introduction of the PX01EP interface card allows PMX to be used in many areas of machine and factory automation as a slave module in customers’ EtherNet/IP networks. Any control unit that works as an EtherNet/IP master can be used for the connection. Applications range from production control and product testing to system monitoring.
The new PX01EP interface card not only makes for easy automation, but has also been designed for speed. With up to 400,000 values provided per second, data is easily transferred in real time. As a result, control and regulation tasks are accomplished in fractions of a second.
Developed and tested in strict compliance with the Open DeviceNet Vendors Association (ODVA), the PX01EP Industrial EtherNet Input Card provides users with maximum safety and reliability. For extra peace of mind, the PX01EP also comes complete with a description file and a sample program to easily facilitate integration.
Compared with other conventional measurement inputs, the PMX system features high measurement accuracy and long term stability, which greatly increases production line efficiency. In addition, it is also able to perform measurement, preconditioning and analysis in real time using the 32 internal computing channels, offering additional cost saving benefits to the user.
In an industrial environment, the slightest malfunction can lead to costly repairs and production delays; however, by using the PMX system, machine errors are quickly detected, minimising unplanned and costly downtime.
