Schneider Electric Launches Motor Specification App

Listen to this article

Schneider Electric, a global specialist in energy management, has launched a brand new iPad app to help specifiers in the industrial sector easily choose low voltage motor starters.

The app compliments Schneider Electric’s TeSys range and has been designed to make the motor starter selection process far easier for anyone involved in motor starter selection or specification.

For users who are unsure of the product they need, the innovative app proposes different solution options. By using a series of selection filters, the app will clearly present a choice of product combinations to enable the most suitable one for each application to be quickly selected.

Alternatively, by simply refining the selection criteria, a single solution can be established, perfectly suited to the starter requirements. The app also enables the user to create a parts list for all starters required in a project that can be exported via email, streamlining the specification process.

The iPad app is free to download and enables customers to refine search parameters depending on their requirements, ensuring that they select the right motor starter for the job. To cater for those users that wish to use a computer, a PC version is also available for free download from the Schneider Electric website.

Andy Turtle, product marketing manager for TeSys motor starting solutions at Schneider Electric, comments: “With TeSys offering such a comprehensive range of product solutions, apps such as this are really helpful in reducing time and streamlining the specification process”.

“By using the app, our customers can quickly determine which low voltage motor starter they require and can be safe in the knowledge that it is the best solution for the job.”

TeSys offers all the best in class features customers need for protection, safety, monitoring and control. TeSys provides customers with solutions for every application – from the advanced ‘all in one’ TeSys U starter controller to the benchmark TeSys D contactor. Whichever TeSys products you choose, Schneider Electric ensures that users will get the reliability, standards-compatibility and ease of ordering and installing.
