Schneider Electric launches New personalised automation package

Listen to this article

Recognizing that new automation technologies can deliver substantial engineering time savings, enhanced maintenance diagnostics and improved efficiency, Schneider Electric has launched a new personalized automation package to support the Modicon M340 mid range PLC  — providing a ‘fast track’ to gaining the knowledge and confidence required to quickly make a significant difference to automated control systems.

The new package includes a customized consultation with an application expert, who can advise on any industry ‘hot-topics’, for example: best programming methods and best practices, communications and connectivity, remote maintenance access to automation equipment, local operator control (HMI control), data logging, networking legacy equipment and motion control.

As well as the consultation, the package includes a pre-assembled rig of latest automation equipment – the Modicon M340 PLC with simulator and industry standard IEC 61131-3 compliant automation configuration software (Unity Pro), which will be introduced during the consultation.

The Modicon M340 PLC offers exceptional connectivity with serial, Ethernet, CAN open and USB built into the processor, as well as a web-server inside, which provides powerful integrated functions for remote diagnostics, recipe and data management.

Dave Sutton, product manager with Schneider Electric explains: “This package has been developed to directly address customers’ concerns when considering the adoption of new technology solutions, such as limited time availability for implementation and associated set-up costs. The whole package is also being offered at a low introductory rate, which provides a massive cost incentive.”
