Spiroflow, the Clitheroe-based manufacturer of dry ingredients conveying and bulk bag handling equipment, has announced that it is relocating its technology centre to the firm’s head office and manufacturing facility with effect fully from 1st April.

The move follows expansion of its production area at the main Lincoln Way site, allowing the company to benefit from centralising their powder testing, machine demonstration and showroom facilities under one roof.

Spiroflow established their technology centre in January 2015. Since then it has been provided major benefits to customers, not least the opportunities to conduct full-scale system trials and significantly reduce the risk of expensive downtime in the handling process.

The newly refurbished facility will offer an enhanced environment complete with a materials lab for product analysis, mezzanine for additional test bays and exhibition equipment, together with new conference and meeting rooms.

Of the new facility, Spiroflow’s Operations Director Ben Ayrton said: “As a showcase of our expertise, the technology centre has been a great success since it opened 3 years ago, welcoming visitors from all over the world.

With the increased space at our main site, it now makes sense to relocate the facility under the same roof as our manufacturing. The key features and uniqueness of the new technology centre will continue to allow customers to pursue their development projects and conduct feasibility testing in a more spacious, convivial environment.”

Spiroflow designs powder handling systems, including specialised conveyors and bulk bag handling equipment for the food, chemical, minerals and other process industries.

Spiroflow also manufactures bin activators, Aero Mechanical Conveyors, Tubular Cable and Chain Drag Conveyors, Vacuum Conveyors, Bulk Bag Fillers, Ingredients Handling and Weighing Systems.

The company’s technical and engineering expertise has led to it developing an international reputation for an unrivalled range of products with state-of-the-art control systems.
