The NEW Russell Vibrastop™ – A revolutionary enhancement for your vibratory sieve to reduce excessive movement and noise on shutdown

A revolutionary enhancement for your vibratory sieve – The brand new Russell Vibrastop™ is the latest in starter technology to provide rapid start up and shutdown eliminating excessive sieve movement.

Vibration is transmitted into commercial sieving machines by means of a vibratory electric motor. As with most motors, there is a short period of time before the operating speed is reached from initial start up and an even longer time period during shutdown until the motor finally comes to rest. These two phases cause the motor to pass through its resonant frequency and as a result, up to 6 times more vibration can be transmitted into the sieve when compared to what is normally transmitted during normal sieve operation. This resonance causes excessive noise but more problematic, movement in the sieve. This movement, if preventative measures are not put in place, can lead to premature wear of components like gaskets, clamps, flexible connectors and wheels.
Incorporating a thorough and regular maintenance procedure within your production process is good manufacturing practice, and is one way to ensure all your equipment is in good working order. However, if this is not carried out correctly it will compromise its effectiveness. Therefore, being able to include preventative measures that will assist you in maintaining and increasing the life of your equipment will help ensure you keep your production running costs to a minimum.
Replacing a conventional starter with the Russell Vibrastop™ will eliminate excessive movement during start up and shutdown of your sieve. This is achieved by bypassing the sieves resonant frequency, resulting in shutdown of the sieve being almost instantaneous (within half a second). Therefore, whether the sieve is mounted on a fixed or mobile platform, the Russell Vibrastop™ will assist in protecting your sieve and connecting equipment from damage, saving you valuable time and costs.
The Russell Vibrastop™ is supplied in a stainless steel IP66 enclosure to suit most production environments.
