Blueshift Exemplifies Next-Generation Thermal Protection Systems at Advanced Materials Show

Blueshift, a technology leader in thermal protection systems (TPS), is at the Advanced Materials Show highlighting how new TPS advancements are transforming the aerospace sector. Ultra-thin and lightweight but simply applied flexible materials with greater design freedom notably improve aerospace performance.

Blueshift Senior Business Development Manager Danny Kemenecka is pointing to an important industry issue: as there have been remarkable breakthroughs in material technologies that have reduced the cost of space travel approximately 500 times compared to the Apollo age, most space missions still continue to depend on heavy, cumbersome and old legacy materials like ceramics and carbon-carbon.

In his talk, Danny will show how next-generation, light-weight materials are transforming what is possible in aerospace and space travel. 

Blueshift's flagship solution, AeroZero® TPS, represents the pinnacle of this tech – engineered to withstand temperatures ranging from -200°C to +2,400°C while remaining ultra-lightweight with a sleek profile. 

With approximately 5,000ft² of Blueshift material already in space and 2,000ft² scheduled for upcoming missions, the company has strong flight heritage and proven capability in space-grade solutions.
