Exporting measurement equipment from the UK to China

these days is becoming a rarity, but condition monitoring specialists SENSONICS are certainly flying the flag for UK manufacturing. To underline this ongoing commitment, Sensonics recently exhibited at the Miconex exhibition in Shanghai in conjunction with their exclusive Chinese partners, Star Royal Industry and Engineering.

Although this year the event was not particularly well attended by UK companies, the show nevertheless represents one of the largest instrumentation exhibitions in China with important marketing opportunities. Visitor numbers were excellent with many enquiries to follow up from system integrators, OEM equipment manufacturers and end users from the oil, gas, iron and steel sectors.

Russell King, Managing Director at Sensonics commented, “We may be in the minority as a UK company exporting measurement equipment to China, but there is still demand for high integrity vibration monitoring equipment for critical plant processes. The home market cannot offer the same level of technology or quality of product”. Sensonics presence at Miconex China is another example of success in this region and underlines their commitment to developing the most effective solutions for vibration, displacement and speed monitoring applications across industry Worldwide.
