Watson-Marlow Fluid Technology Solutions (WMFTS) will exhibit fluid path solutions at Dairy Industries Expo, to be held on 29–30 October at NAEC Stoneleigh. The event features the latest innovations in dairy processing and manufacturing.
WMFTS will be showcasing on Stand 44, with visitors able to gain insight into innovative pump and hose technologies specified for the food and beverage sector. WMFTS has particular knowledge in cheese production, where protecting product integrity and minimising waste is becoming ever more critical. Their product line includes sinusoidal and peristaltic pumps tailored for dairy use of any scale, engineered to optimise efficiency and productivity yet lower energy use, water consumption and product loss through shear-sensitive pumping.
John Rowley, WMFTS UK's Food & Beverage and Clean Process Sales Manager, stated:
“Dairy Industries Expo provides an ideal setting to connect with dairy processors and explore some of the key challenges they face, from improving sustainability and reducing energy use to protecting product quality and minimising waste. Our fluid handling technologies are specifically designed to help overcome these issues, whether in curd transfer, CIP or other critical production steps. We’re here to demonstrate how our solutions deliver reliable, high-quality performance while supporting more efficient and hygienic processing.”
Visit Stand 44 to see:
Qdos® chemical metering pumps: cost-effective and efficient performance for wastewater and water treatment in food and beverage processing. With ±1% accuracy and ±0.5% repeatability they reduce costs and emissions. The new model Qdos H-FLO is built for higher flow rates of up to 600 L/hr.
Certa Sine® pumps (MasoSine): easy to clean and optimised for gentle treatment of sensitive or viscous dairy foods, especially cheese. The pump preserves cheese curds' fat and moisture, retaining product quality and minimising wastage. More than 20% yield improvements are possible, by reducing fines content by about 27% compared to a lobe pump. In big cheese plants 900 g per tonne translates into considerable cost saving and payback within less than half a year. The sinusoidal rotor bears fluid softly, minimising shear and can minimise power intake by as much as 50% when dealing with fluids of high viscosity.
Watson-Marlow 530 process pump and pumpheads: these offer versatility for any number of dairy applications, from dosing additives to live culture transfer. Built tough and user-friendly, the 530 is meant for precision and simplicity for operators of all expertise levels. Long lifespan and compatibility with most pumpheads the 530 supports hygienic processing with minimal interruptions, ideal for high-efficiency, contemporary dairy lines.
Aflex Hose, FaBLINE and Bioflex Ultra: optimising pumping systems, WMFTS will be exhibiting premium-quality transfer hoses like the FaBLINE range (with silicone and EPDM covers) and a cut-away representation of the Bioflex Ultra hose. These are suited to demanding dairy hygiene and feature ultra-smooth PTFE liners that resist adhesion and simplify cleaning.
