World Business Council for Sustainable Development

Listen to this article

The World Business Council for Sustainable Development (WBCSD) is a global association of 200 businesses, of whom Grundfos Pumps is a member.  This business platform provides the base for leading companies to further explore sustainable development, share knowledge and advocate best practise.

One of the important issues under scrutiny is the topic of water. Awareness of water as a finite resource has increased as has the understanding that water has crucial links to being able to deliver against the current and future demands associated with energy, climate, urbanisation, food production and industrial demands.

As a global pump manufacturer that services many different types of operational demand, the Grundfos name and water are intrinsically linked so it is apt that they have been actively involved in the WBSCD Global Water Tool that measures a company’s water footprint.  If you would like to know more this newly updated tool visit www.wbcsd.org/web/watertool.htm
