The Endress+Hauser TrustSens TM371 temperature sensor features unique technology that provides fully automated inline self-calibration without process interruption.
The new sensor’s self-calibration function saves time and costs, and increases plant efficiency, as there is no need to stop production or remove the instrument to perform a calibration. By automating this time-consuming task, Trustsens can also help to reduce the risk of product wastage as instrument drift is quickly detected.
Designed for use in hygienic and aseptic applications within the life sciences and food & beverage industries, Trustsens is also fully compliant with FDA and GMP regulations.
This unique sensor contains both an accurate PT100 temperature element and a separate, highly stable reference located at the probe tip. When the instrument observes 118°C, a temperature typically seen during SIP cleaning cycles as part of a cooling cycle, the measured temperature is compared against the neighbouring reference to check its accuracy.
At the same time, an audit-compliant calibration certificate is digitally produced and stored within the temperature probe, ready to be downloaded at any time across HART communication using the free Endress+Hauser Devicecare software or the more advanced Fieldcare software.
With capacity to store up to 350 entries, it is possible to access a long calibration history of your Trustsens instrument. Each calibration is traceable to the ITS-90 International Temperature Scale, and each Trustsens unit is supplied ex-works with a calibration certificate showing this calibration chain.
