Kason Introduces Precision-Flo for Easy Weight Adjustment on VIBROSCREEN® Screeners

Innovative tool-free system simplifies the setup process for circular vibratory screeners

Kason Corporation, a leading manufacturer of screening, sifting and processing equipment and member of the newly established Akona Process Solutions brand family, launched a revolutionary advancement in circular screening technology: Precision-Flo.

The development significantly simplifies the adjustment of the eccentric weights, a critical parameter in the vibratory motion of its VIBROSCREEN® circular screeners.

Historically, eccentric weight adjustment has been a complex and time-consuming operation that involves tools and partial disassembly. Precision-Flo removes these barriers with a tool-free, simple, and fast mechanism. This is especially beneficial during initial setup of screeners or when modifying amplitude settings to suit different applications.

In circular screeners, the top eccentric weight regulates the radial movement of material across the screen. As this weight increases, horizontal amplitude is added. The bottom eccentric weight regulates vertical movement of the screen, which helps to dislodge any particles that blind the screen mesh.

Precision-Flo makes this process even simpler by doing away with additional weights or complicated calibration, setting a new standard in ease of operation and performance.

Precision-Flo offers operators numerous advantages:

Tool-less adjustment: The operator can access all 720 weight combinations by pulling a single pin, without disassembly, to minimize downtime.

Time savings: Lead angle adjustment is reduced to a matter of minutes, not the extended setup times of other systems.

No extra weights required: The system eliminates the need to add or remove weights for calibration.

Airlift compatibility: This design feature provides for single-person operation, promoting safety and efficiency in adjustment and maintenance.

All VIBROSCREEN units with diameters of 72 inches and under that were shipped new have been standard-equipped with the Precision-Flo system since February 2024.

The upgrade also is being made available as a retrofit to existing screeners of the same diameter, and can be installed in just one hour – putting the newest in screening technology within reach of both new and longtime customers.

Precision-Flo is a reflection of Kason's ongoing commitment to innovation and maximising operating efficiency,” says Dan Chellew, VP Sales & Marketing, Akona Process Solutions. “Not only is time saved by the design, but it significantly adds to the functionality and ease-of-use of VIBROSCREEN screeners, demonstrating Kason's ongoing response to evolving customer needs.”
