Essentra Unveils 100% PCR Component Range of Sustainable Solutions
Essentra Components, a leading distributor of essential industrial components, introduced a new range made entirely of post-consumer recycled (PCR) content.
Plastic bottles, newspaper and cardboard used by consumers, and then discarded, are the materials that are used in PCR content. The new Essentra PCR range is an even more environmentally friendly option without compromising on performance or fit-for-use.
Completely made from 100% post-consumer recycled material, Essentra's new range of products supports its published Environmental Social and Governance (ESG) goals. In addition to minimizing landfill waste, PCR products tend to require less energy to manufacture than virgin products, meaning a lower carbon footprint.
The initial product range includes parallel protection plugs, snap fit plugs, face protectors and a range of multi-purpose tube inserts with applications in a number of uses.
All products in the PCR range are same-day despatchable and are packaged within recyclable and sustainably sourced packaging.
ESG Director at Essentra, Jennifer Spence, commented:
“Essentra has ambitious ESG goals and this product range greatly helps us to help our carbon footprint and help us meet our net zero goals. Aside from that they offer a more sustainable cost-effective option for our customers with no compromise on quality.“
She added:
“We are excited to continue this line further to the benefit of our customers and the earth. We take our environmental responsibility very seriously and we will continue to innovate and source fantastic solutions that have a direct positive effect for our global customers.”
Essentra's PCR program reiterates its mission to offer high-quality components that surpass sustainability objectives and reduce environmental impact in global manufacturing industries.
