Amarinth wins £1.5M chemical injection skid order for Nigerian LNG plants
Amarinth has received a £1.5 million order for four bespoke API 675 chemical injection skid packages for the Soku and Gbaran LNG plants in Nigeria.
The company specialises in engineered pumping solutions for the onshore and offshore oil and gas market, nuclear and renewable power generation, defence, desalination and general industrial markets.
The chemical injection skids will be deployed across the Soku and Gbaran oil and gas fields in the Niger Delta, both of which are important feed gas suppliers to the Nigeria LNG (NLNG) plant at Finima, Bonny Island.
Each unit is engineered for precise chemical dosing operations that play a crucial role in pipeline integrity and long-term operation of equipment. The four skid packages are:
Package 1: Biocide Injection Skid and Oxygen Scavenger Injection Skid
Package 2: Biocide Injection Skid and Scale Inhibitor Injection Skid
Designed and built to strict API 675 standards, each skid is provided with a comprehensive instrumentation package, including pressure and level transmitters, actuated valves and integral control systems. These features enable real-time automatic control and monitoring, enhancing operational efficiency and safety.
The contract includes supply on a tight 39-week lead time, and demonstrates Amarinth's capability to meet aggressive project deadlines without compromise on quality.
Amarinth's philosophy is to maximise performance while reducing footprint. All of the skid packages are compact, modular designs with easy integration into existing site infrastructure, including compatible piping, flanges and nozzles.
All units are fully assembled and tested prior to delivery, including structural elements and all intended spare parts, for easy and rapid installation on site.
Key benefits of the chemical injection skid packages:
- Optimised Compact Design: Modular configuration for space-restricted installations
- Advanced Instrumentation: Integral sensors and valves for full remote control and system integration
- Proven API 675 Engineering: Designed for longevity and dependability in harsh field conditions
- Pre-Assembled Units: Tested at the factory to minimise commissioning and installation effort on site
Amarinth was selected because of its proven ability to deliver custom-designed chemical injection skids on short lead times and its experience in tailoring them to installed operating systems and instrumentation protocols.
The order is a further move in Amarinth's growing success in the African energy sector. In response to the success, Managing Director Oliver Brigginshaw commented:
“We are delighted with this order, a further result of our strategic investment in Africa. Five of the world's thirty largest oil producers are in the region and Nigeria has the tenth largest petroleum reserves in the world. As a carbon net-zero company, Amarinth is still leading the way in the provision of sustainable, high-performance solutions for critical energy infrastructure around the globe.”
